The Michelin Guide has released their 2014 Bib Gourmand winners and 69 Chicagoland restaurants earned the honor. The Bib Gourmand is given to restaurants that represent a good value - places where a two-course meal with a glass of wine or dessert can be had for $40 or less. The Guide then releases its coveted star ratings about a week later.
This years group included three restaurants in the Andersonville/Edgewater areas – Edgewater’s Jin Thai (5458 N Broadway) and Andersonville’s Ceres’ Table (4882 N Clark – technically Uptown) return to the ranks, while Andersonville’s Hopleaf (5148 N Clark) is a newbie to the list. For a complete list of all 69 Bib Gourmand winners check out this list on Eater Chicago.
What do you think, foodies, did Michelin get it right, or are there other “Bib Gourmand” worthy restaurants in the neighborhood?
